How Did the Pandemic Affect Me? This semester, the Green Fellowship represented a wonderful, unique challenge that tested many elements of my character and wit. The immersive experience provided me with a unique understanding of how life in research works on a day-to-day basis that I am confident I would not have gained elsewhere. While the coronavirus outbreak certainly changed the flow and direction of my project (along with near everything else), it also brought me to work which I intend to pursue beyond the Fellowship. There were many adjustments to be made, but the team at Dr. Tsai's lab made the process relatively seamless for me. I was provided ample opportunities and was allowed to thrive despite the circumstances through their guidance; I could not be more thankful for the opportunity to work with such a wonderful team. There were many things that the program provided, but the network I have been able to establish with mentors and like-minded peers is what I value the most. I expect to keep in contact with people I have met through the Fellowship for the rest of my career.
Where am I now? I have graduated in May 2021, Magna Cum Laude, and decided recently to pursue law school. Yesterday, I received notice that my LSAT score was in the 99th percentile. My goal is to pursue a top law school and I will be attending the Washington University School of Law beginning Fall 2022.
